Gombe State Grants Approval for Safe Humans, Safe Bats Educational Activities

We are pleased to announce that the Gombe State Government, through the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has formally granted approval for our Safe Humans, Safe Bats educational activities to take place in primary schools across Gombe State.

The approval allows our team, in collaboration with the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), Gombe State Chapter, to conduct an awareness and education campaign on bats in selected primary schools between 15 January and 30 January 2026, following the resumption of schools.

These activities will focus on:

• Promoting safe and respectful coexistence between humans and bats

• Improving understanding of bat ecology and their importance to the environment

• Encouraging safe practices that protect both public health and wildlife
